All a fallout shelter will give you is a few more day's time. Unless you're equipped to spend the rest of your life in one, it's just a matter of time.

They would look to get a strike with one hit. It is believed Russia and perhaps China has a low yield nuclear torpedo. Probably more than one by now. The radiation from the use of nuclear weapons would be devastating. Between the hot zone of a nuclear blast, the outer area of a EMP or the extension of a radiated area, the scenerio is not very positive.

Your first paragraph provides no evidence to support your assertions. It also assumes that there is going to be a "next war".

Generals and Admirals have a vested personal interest in fear mongering. The entire cold war was just a scam perpetrated on the American and Russian public by their respective militaries and the industries supporting them. The second gulf war was a complete fraud predicated upon nonexistent weapons of mass destruction, so guys like Cheney could make profits off the deaths of American soldiers, and ******* could keep driving pickup trucks and SUVs.

Perpetual war, perpetual fear, keeps a populace enslaved.

When you go into someone else's country, steal their natural resources, overthrow their democratically elected leaders, disrespect their culture and try to ram American ideology down their throats, you get Nine Eleven, and well deserved.

The American military behaves like a bully, a thug. It has no business overseas, and is beholden to PROFITS, not the public interest, corporations, not citizens.




George Washington and Dwight Eisenhower said it well: the military poses it's greatest risk to the citizens and the economy, not imagined enemies. Don't **** with people overseas in the first place, and they will have little or no reason to **** with you.

Dependng upon the type of radiation, it reaches out from the plume for a certain amount of miles. A lot depends upon the wind direction and other weather related events. You may remember the hoax just inside the front page of the telephone book we used to get. It had the "expected" radiation zones in it. None of it was realistic. Ask Japan. They can tell you that their radiation zones was wishful thinking after they had a major radiation incident. Even our Nuclear Carrier many miles away had to quickly leave the port.

When you ask the College about it, they look at you like "What are you talking about"? The so called experts will now tell everyone "Shelter in Place". Shelter in Place is their new 'go to" phrase.

The kind of radiation from nuclear war will poison the planet probably - forever. It doesn't matter if the blast doesn't kill you - the ground, the animals, the plants, the oceans - none of it is going to recover.

If you go down into a shelter - make sure you're prepared to live there until you die.

We've talked about this before. Me, and quite a few others, said they would rather watch the mushroom cloud envelope them rather than spend their final days in a hole in the ground.

Well, that is not entirely true. Look today to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The reason both areas are just fine today, with radiation levels at or below background levels, is because each of those atom bombs were air-burst detonations. Now, that's not to say the current crop of modern nuclear weapons aren't different and more powerful, but living after a nuclear bomb strike is definitely possible. Depending on many things, of course.

I was just reading a story today reportedly from sources in Belarus...claiming that Prigozhin and his Wagner Group are planning to attack Poland, to force NATO as a whole to confront and destroy Putin's army.
An interesting development, if true...

I have no interest in living in an underground bunker like some Terminator movie so it's kind of amazing to me that anyone would. My survival plan for nuclear holocaust is to die.

Our military is overseas to keep any bad guys from attacking the USA mainland if they try to do so.
In other words keep all the destruction over there and not here.
