Kamala Harris thinks she gets more media scrutiny than VP predecessors: 'I think that is the case'
Harris agreed with the premise of a question she got in an interview with the outlet published on Monday, according to Politico Playbook.
"I think that that is the case. … It’s what it is. I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Oh, you know, it’s not fair,’ because, you know, I am not new to these things," she said in response to a question about "whether she faces more media scrutiny than her predecessors as VP."
In Playbook's write-up of the Harris interview, the authors suggested criticism of the vice president was not typical in past administrations.
NRA digs up history to push back on Kamala Harris' claim on 'assault' ban
The NRA shot back in exclusive comment to Fox News Digital on Wednesday that Harris needs a history lesson on Biden’s work in the 1990s to ban so-called "assault weapons."
"Vice President Harris should learn her history before going on social media. She's referring to Biden's 1994 vote for the 'assault weapons' ban as his big so-called victory," NRA spokesman Billy McLaughlin told Fox News Digital. "Yet, thanks to the NRA, the ban expired in 2004. And, AR-15 ownership surged from 850,000 then to 25 million today."
Biden, while serving as a Delaware senator, voted to ban semi-automatic firearms in 1994 as part of a major crime bill, while the Democrat-majority House at the time passed the ban as a standalone bill. The bill ultimately was incorporated into the sweeping anti-crime package and required exceptions in order to pass, including a sunset provision.
The bill was passed by Congress and signed into law by former President Bill Clinton in September of that year. It enacted a 10-year ban on the manufacture, transfer or possession of "semiautomatic assault weapons" and "large capacity ammunition feeding devices."
Democrats suffered historical losses the next election season, ceding control of both chambers of Congress to Republicans, as Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said at the time she did not realize "the power of the NRA in [Washington, D.C.]."
"Even President Clinton’s DOJ conceded the ban was ineffective," McLaughlin said in his statement.
A Department of Justice study published in 1999 that examined the short-term effects of the ban and found it "failed to reduce the average number of victims per gun murder incident or multiple gunshot wound victims." Another DOJ study published in 2004 determined the ban’s "effects on gun violence are likely to be small at best and perhaps too small for reliable measurement."

Kamala Harris Pushes Gun Control That Wouldn’t Have Prevented Jacksonville Shooting
Harris released a statement Sunday noting the shooting was racially motivated and will be investigated “as a possible hate crime and act of domestic violent extremism.”
It should be noted that Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters pointed out the shooter was armed with two guns, a Glock pistol and an AR-15 style rifle. If the rifle had been denied him, he would still have had the pistol and the attack would not be hindered.
Additionally, universal background checks constitute another piece of “commonsense gun safety legislation” that Democrats are pushing. But the Jacksonville shooter bought his guns “legally,” which indicates he passed background checks for them at retail.

Moreover, Florida has a red flag law, which is often pushed by Democrats as a way to prevent shootings. But the Washington Post noted Waters saying, “There was no criminal arrest history. There is nothing we could have done to stop [the shooting suspect] from owning a rifle or a handgun. There were no red flags.”
Kamala Harris Makes Absurd Claim on Bidenomics and Cost of Living
Kamala Harris on Tuesday gave a one-on-one interview with 69 News anchor Wendy Davis during her visit to Reading Area Community College in Pennsylvania.
Harris lied about the climate change crisis and falsely claimed Joe Biden has lowered the cost of living for Americans.

Wendy Davis asked Kamala Harris about high inflation rates and what her take is with prices still going up.
Kamala Harris said Joe Biden has improved the lives for so many Americans by lowering the cost of living.
“I think it’s important to pay attention to the fact that prices need to come down in a number of areas, but we have been lowering the cost of living for so many people,” Harris said.
She continued, “What we are doing in bringing down the cost of energy by helping people get rebates to put in, for example, a new HVAC system.”
Go tell that to the single mothers and other working-class Americans who are struggling to put food on the table for their children.

At the time, she was talking about the Biden/Harris economic policies, which are obviuously terrible.

The stepdaughter of Vice President Kamala Harris is publicly raising money for Gaza, The Post has learned.
Ella Emhoff, 24 — whose father, first gentleman Doug Emhoff, is Jewish — affixed a fundraising drive “supporting urgent relief for Gaza’s children” on her personal Instagram account.
It makes no mention of the scores of Israeli children murdered among the 1,400 Israelis killed by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7.
Her promotion puts the funding appeal in front of her 315,000 Instagram followers.
The fundraiser, which has netted more than $7.8 million so far, is being operated by the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit based in Kent, Ohio, which raked in more than $21 million in 2021, according to ProPublica.
It’s unclear how much, if anything, Ella Emhoff has personally donated to the cause.

Kamala Harris confused by questions about Biden picking her as running mate in part because of her race
Herndon asked Harris about Biden's running mate selection in 2020. Biden committed to naming a woman as his running mate, but several prominent Democrats called on him to name a Black woman, and he noted during the run-up to his decision that Black women were among his finalists.
"He came to the decision that he needed to choose a Black woman," Herndon said. "While that is obviously about you, it’s not necessarily you personally, but your identity. How should it matter, does it matter that that narrative has existed, that Biden needed to choose someone who was a Black person, and should it matter?"
Harris told Herndon that she didn't understand the question.
"Does it matter that, that kind of narrative around Biden needed to choose a Black woman as a running mate still exists, and has hovered over that selection?" he asked again.
